ABOUT US

The Lashawntay T. Howard Youth Offender Center  (LTHYOC) is a nonprofit organization offering services that are desperately warranted in today's society when it concerns our youth. The media continues to display signs of the breakdown of our youth in society. The LTHYOC has created ways of making a difference in the lives of our youth.

The main strategy is to create a platform that gives the youth a voice. "By lending an ear who knows what we can hear, it could be the cheer that change is near".

Investing in our youth creates opportunities for hope to change their direction from moving towards a system built to trap the youth in jail cells, to a system that strengthens their brain cells while enhancing intelligence. The program is design for youth between the ages of 11 and 18. The center's approach is to incorporate both boys and girls in a social learning environment.

This organization is designed to offer an alternative form of rehabilitation to help combat crime and violent behavior our troubled youth displays. The center will develop networking relationships with local companies geared towards job placement opportunities to assist the youth with employment.
